History
The company was set up in 2019 to do data annotation work: building and labelling the training datasets that artificial intelligence and machine learning systems are trained and evaluated on. That meant assembling and training annotation teams, writing labelling specifications, and putting review steps in place so that the labels a client received were consistent enough to be useful.
Working closely with AI teams on their data led to being asked about the decisions surrounding it, and the company took on consulting and advisory engagements. It also began taking on the operational work that small AI companies would rather not build a department for — premises, facilities, vendors and administration — and now provides that as a managed service. Those two lines are the company's present focus; annotation remains a capability it retains.
